South side of The Highland House, an hotel on Main Street Hopkinton MA ca 1880. It is a 4-story building with an extended 2-story porch off the front. It has an ornate cupola with its own railing. People are seated on the second floor of the porch and a man sits in front of the building on a horse-drawn cart. It is surrounded by a picket fence with stone supports. The Congregational Church steeple can be seen on the far right. The hotel was destroyed by fire in April 1883.
