This image was almost certainly taken during the May 29 to 30 series at Fenway Park. Gehrig was already out of New York's everyday line-up by this time and would leave the team on June 13 to fly to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota to be diagnosed (Society for American Baseball Research, 2010-2011).
