Sail number on yachts are unique identifiers -- J2 for Yankee and J4 for Enterprise. Negative was probably mistakenly sleeved with images related to Charles River yachting. This image was taken in open water, probably in races to confirm the American challenger for the America's Cup. The negative is probably a duplicate negative from an original glass plate negative.
