Free beds were established in memory of Susan G. Bacon, Joel Severns, M.D., Abraham O. Bigelow, Olivia A. Bigelow, Helen O. Bigelow, Joseph D. Gould, George S. Curtis, and Annie C. Pitman, and as gifts from Charles J. Nichols, the Bowditch-Hillside Alumnae Association, and the people of West Roxbury.
