The Thayer Conservatory Orchestra was founded at Atlantic Union College by Dr. John Robertson in 1974. In 1983, maestro Toshimasa Francis Wada became the third director. The Thayer Symphony Orchestra, as it is now known, moved to Fitchburg at the end of the 200 season. Here, the orchestra readies for a concert in Machlan Auditorium celebrating its 25th year.
