This August 1914 photo shows a scene from the Pageant of Cape Cod that was held on the banks of the Cape Cod Canal. The pageant was a celebration of the recent opening (July 19, 2014) of the Cape Cod Canal and was held August 15 to August 19 with local people enacting stories of American history.

This scene is a part of the finale of the Pageant which contained ten episodes. Spire of Town Hall, dedicated 6 days before the official Canal opening, appears above the electric railway work train near north end of Bridge.
