Description:
Margaret B. Ritchie writes to William Lloyd Garrison sending him a portrait of Dr. Andrew Thomson [not included] and apologizing for not being able to invite Garrison to spend an evening with the family due to the "state of health of our family." Ritchie hopes Garrison has enjoyed his visit to Edinburgh and says she is "happy to think [Edinburgh] can now claim the honour of having you for a citizen." She tells Garrison the letter is on behalf of her mother and sisters, as well as herself, and they all send their regards to Garrison and his son and daughter.
