Description:
Theodore Parker writes to Convers Francis apologizing for his delay in writing due to poor health and spirits. He comments on the city's appearance, stating "there is absolutely nothing attractive to any but a native or a spectator, most of the population is Irish or Scottish' the city is ragged, struggling, dirty." He discusses gossip brought against him by Brethren. He poses questions and discusses on Bible interpretation.
