Letter from Margaret Eleanor Parker, [Newport, Scotland], to William Lloyd Garrison, [18]77 July 31
Description:
Margaret E. Parker writes to William Lloyd Garrison saying her "great expectations [were] revised with regard to your visit." Parker also promises Garrison that she "will take care of your strength as much as possible" and she hopes his "visit to the Highlands may be a pleasant one ..." After her autograph, Parker asks what route they will take "as the stations are different." There is also note in a different shade of black ink, recommending "the best train leaving Edinboro by North British Railway starts at 25 min past 9 reaching Tayport at 1/2 past 12."
