Letter from Lucretia Richardson, Andover, [Massachusetts], to Maria Weston Chapman, 1839 Nov[ember] 12
Description:
Lucretia Richardson writes to Maria Weston Chapman in regards to giving a list of the amount of the articles contributed by the Andover female anti-slavery society and the Juvenile anti-slavery society, with prices. She writes that if the articles were marked too high, "give us credit for what you think they were worth so we shall feel satisfied." The writer praises Maria for her work in the cause and says "I believe the Lord has chosen you as an instrument to enlighten many societies and individuals & to cause them to let their friends run in the right channels which will result in the greatest good of the poor slave."
