Description:
Charlotte Austin writes to Maria Weston Chapman in regards to discussing the articles sent to the October anti-slavery fair and the methods of pricing them, in particular, the collection of shells. She writes about organizing a new anti-slavery society auxilliary to the Massachusetts abolition society in order to separate the "Holy Cause of abolition...from the Woman Question." She discusses this Methodist meeting in which one of the ministers spoke at length of Garrison and criticized him and dismissed the women present at the initial meeting.
