Letter from William Henry Fish, Hopedale, [Massachusetts], to Samuel May, 1851 Oct[ober] 28
Description:
William Henry Fish writes to Samuel May sending him a letter from Thomas Haskell, which proposes to hold a meeting in Essex. Fish explains that he "promised to be present in the convention instead of being there alone," but states that he will spend a few days there not "at the charge of Antislavery, unless the Convention should seem to warrant it." Fish questions if May has overturned the arrangements Haskell made and says he will write Haskell "today that I shall be there, if you & Lucy Stone have concluded not to go."
