Description:
George Thompson writes to unknown in regards to sending a few lines to [William Lloyd] Garrison and two or three publications respecting the new British India which he says will help the American abolition cause. He reads the "Liberator" and asks the recipient to continue to send it to him.

Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) manuscript contains two portraits of George Thompson. One was published by John P. Jewett & Co. in Boston and the other one was engraved after he died in 1878 and says, "The late George Thompson."
