Description:
Joan Egleston Appleton (1912-2006) stands with another woman just below the porch of a white house. They are accompanied by a light-colored greyhound with large dark spots wearing a studded collar. On each side of the women stand large flowering plants, possibly geraniums, which also appear in the window of the house on the left-hand portion of the photograph. To the left of the door into the house stands an old side table on which a long container holding flowering plants has been placed.
