Letter from Frances Armstrong, Clifton Vale, [England], to Samuel May, February 16th, 1846
Description:
Armstrong explains that her husband, Reverend George Armstrong, is unable to write a reply in time to catch the next mail steamer. She says that she has joined the Ladies' Anti-Slavery Committee. She says that Frederick Douglass is having a sensational success in England and reports that a crop failure has helped to keep the peace between England and America.
