Letter from Joseph Lupton, Leeds, England, to Samuel May, July 10 / '51
Description:
Lupton informs May that he met Mr. Charles Fox Hovey at the World's Fair in London. He says that he sent three copies of a resolution passed at a meeting of his congregation to Crosby and Nichols to be inserted as an advertisement in three religious papers. Lupton states that there is a good deal of excitement over slavery in England and expresses regret for Dr. Orville Dewey's attitude.
