Letter from Samuel May, Jr., Leicester, [Mass.], to William Lloyd Garrison, Jan[uary] 12 [18]72
Description:
Samuel May, Jr. sends Garrison his thanks for the note received, and states that it grieves him to learn of Helen's poor health. May states that he would prefer Garrison to take his time on the sketch his is composing rather than overwork himself when he is already exhausted, and requests Garrison simply advise him when he will be able to send it. May states that given the present circumstances, it would be best for him to delay his visit to Garrison until his next voyage to Boston. May closes by inquiring if Garrison had remember to deliver the Theodore Parker letters to T.J. Mumford.
