Phineas and Abigail Durant Cook(e) house, corner of Centre and Pearl Streets, Newton just over the Watertown boundary. Later owned by General William Hull who surrendered Detroit to the British in 1812. Dr. Walter Hunnewell's wife, Susanna Cooke, was born in this house. She was Mary Cooke Fowle's sister, married Hunnewell (the town physician) in 1800 and lived with him on Main Street.
