Additional text on item: This night scene vividly shows the new steam-electric generating station of the Cambridge Electric Light Co., in Kendall sq., Cambridge. The new plant will relieve some of the load that became too much for the main station at Blackstone st., and Western ave., because of the doubling of demand for electricity in 10 years by the University City.
