Two -and-a-half story front-gabled Italianate house with dark trim, brackets, bay windows, and porches. City Directory information indicates that head of household, carpenter John T. Williams, is the man sitting in the wagon painted with the name "Doane & Williams, Builders." His wife and daughter, Eliza and Gertrude Williams, stand nearby. The former house number was 33 Taylor Street. An apparent twin to this house is at 23 Taylor Street. John T. William's partner and son-in-law, George W. Doane, also lived on Taylor Street.
