1. fol. 1-6v: calendar. The outermost bifolia of what was originally the first quire has been misbound (perhaps intentionally) as the opening two leaves, leading the manuscript to begin with November instead of January.
2. fol. 7-139v: Temporale. Begins imperfectly with the third Sunday after Epiphany, "...dentium. Et dixit ihesus..." Offsets on fol. 1v (December) suggest that originally it faced an illuminated page, now lacking. Since the December calendar page was originally fol. 6v, the illuminated page, probably for the first Sunday of Advent, must have been the original fol. 7, with an unknown number of leaves now lacking before the current fol. 7. Several leaves lacking after fol. 79 (Holy Saturday and part of Easter Sunday), fol. 100 (responsories for general use), and fol. 122 (part of the Saturday after Pentecost through Dom. VIII after Pentecost). The litany (fol. 82-83) includes St. Frigdian, Bishop of Lucca, and St. Mustiola. Lenten, Pentecost and Advent seasons include references to the Station Liturgy of Rome.
3. fol. 140-182: Sanctorale. Unknown number of leaves lacking after fol. 162 (lacking from 29 June - 11 August). Folio 163 misbound (see below), originally located between fol. 171 and 172. Ends imperfectly with the Presentation of the Virgin (21 November) on fol. 182v, which has the catchword "Beata" indicating that at least the beginning of one quire is lacking. Since the sanctorale begins with Andrew (30 Nov.) it appears that only a small portion of the text is lacking, for the final week of November.

Origin: Written in the mid-fourteenth century in Tuscany for Franciscan use, possibly illuminated in the workshop of Niccolò da Bologna. Calendar includes Sts. Anthilia (2/15), Rainerius (6/17, added sixteenth century), Mustiola (7/3), Louis (8/19, Franciscan), Francis (10/4), and Ansanus (12/1, in red, special veneration in Siena). Lower blank margins removed from 18 leaves (fol. 7, 8, 9, 10, 32, 36, 40, 50, 51, 53, 55, 57, 61, 62, 65, 66, 67, 70); several initials cut out (fol. 103, 114v, 141 and 118), several leaves lacking (at least two of which were illuminated and left offsets on facing pages).

Collation: Parchment, fol. i + 212 + i ; 1² 2⁴ (originally 1⁶; what was originally the outermost bifolium has been misbound as the initial gathering of two), 3¹⁰⁺² (lacking unknown number of leaves before fol. 7, which appears to be conjoint with fol. 8), 4-11¹⁰ (lacking unknown number of leaves after fol. 79: catchword doesn't match, and the offset on fol. 79v indicates that it originally faced an illuminated page, probably Easter Sunday), 12⁴ (lacking unknown number of leaves after fol. 100), 13-23¹⁰ (lacking unknown number of leaves after fol. 122; lacking unknown number of leaves after fol. 162; fol. 163 misbound, should follow 171, misbinding creates singletons of fol. 163 and its original conjoint, fol. 165) ; catchwords in decorative red and blue filigree frame, lower center final verso each quire. Modern arabic foliation postdates losses.
Layout: Two columns, 28 lines. Ruled in blind. Square notation on 3-line staff on fol. 84-102.
Script: Written in a gothic rotunda in black ink with red rubrics.
Decoration (primary): Initials, miniatures, and borders somewhat reminiscent of the style of Niccolò da Bologna (cf. Breslauer no. 70) and BPL MS pb Med. 144 and 146. Four- to six-line initials in colors on gold with acanthus extending partially into margins on: fol. 103 (Easter Sunday, two initials) -- fol. 114v (Ascension, initial cut out) -- fol. 140 (4-line, St. Andrew, the opening of the Sanctorale) -- fol. 141 (4-line, St. Andrew, cut out) -- fol. 148 (6-line, Purification) -- fol. 169v (4-line, Nativity of the Virgin) -- fol. 178v (6-line, All Saints); 4-to-6 line initials with 3/4 borders of acanthus, gold balls, birds and spiked lozenges on fol. 103 (Easter Sunday, one (presumably historiated) initial cut out, lozenge with image of an angel sitting at the sepulcher in lower margin, somewhat rubbed) --fol. 118 (Pentecost, one (presumably historiated) of two initials cut out) -- fol. 152 (6-line, Annunciation, historiated with a portrait of the Virgin holding a prayerbook) -- fol. 153v (6-line, historiated with portrait of Sts. Philip and Jacob) -- fol. 160v (6-line, historiated with a portrait of John the Baptist) -- fol. 165 (5-line, Assumption, historiated with a portrait of the Virgin enthroned surrounded by six angels).
Decoration (secondary): Two-line initials throughout in red with blue filigree or blue with red filigree and harping into margins; seventeen 4-to-6 line initials throughout sanctorale in similar style.
Binding: 15th-century calf laid on modern brown leather, rebacked. 15th-century portions blind-tooled and stamped with rosettes, spine gilt, 19th-century brown endpapers and flyleaves, clasps lacking.
