A row of columns, towards the left, supports the flat roof of the fishmarket, at the further end of which is a doorway, with pointed arch. On the right is on open arcade. The floor of the hall is crowded with salesmen and customers, with fish on tables, fish on baskets, fish on sloping slabs. The white intervals have been reduced; the beams to left are more deeply shaded, and uniform in appearance with those of right of the columns. From a drawing. The alterations constituting the second and third states were made in 1916.
