Letter from Aaron Macy Powell, Ghent, [N.Y.], to William Lloyd Garrison, Oct[ober] 30, 1863
Description:
Aaron Macy Powell forwards to William Lloyd Garrison a certified check destined for the "Maria Marriott legacy", and advises Garrison to invest the sum in or near to Boston. Powell praises Marriot as an example of "true Christian philanthropy". Powell exclaims his gratitude for Wendell Phillips' joining their "lecturing force in the campaign just opening".
