Description:
Robert F. Martineau writes to Francis Jackson Garrison telling him that he is glad Garrison has accepted his suggestion to visit Warwick and Kenilworth, a plan to "cause less fatigue to your father" [William Lloyd Garrison]. Martineau also agrees that "we should not trouble your father for a speech in public" but that he would be grateful for a short note to his committee.

Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) manuscript composed on white stationery with a blue embossed logo along the head edge of the page, showing a bird surrounded by a belt containing the words "Marte Nobilior Pallas." To the side of the logo, printed in blue on the stationery are the words "Highfield Road, Edgbaston." Just under the salutation, the number "175" is written in pencil.
