Description:
Mary Rice writes to William Lloyd Garrison about the twenty dollars she sent to him with her last letter, telling Garrison she "never gave a donation with so much pleasure as I do now to you." Rice describes some of the other charitable donations she has made and praises the work of "all the dear ones that have spoken a word, or lifted a finger to ameliorate the condition of the African race, bond and free..." She closes the letter by telling Garrison she is sending him an additional twenty five dollars [not included].
