Description:
Andrew Robeson writes to William Lloyd Garrison that he is pleased to subscribe to the Anti-Sabbath Convention as it does not conflict with his views. He describes the Sabbath as "a state of the mind [and] not a particular day of the week." Robeson also is pleased Garrison's health is improving and tells him that when he comes to New Bedford to "remember that we are to be favoured with your company."

Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) manuscript composed in black ink on pale blue paper. In the head- spine corner there is an embossed horizontal oval, with a small checkmark and number "7" written on top of it pencil. Just above the first line of the letter, towards the fore edge, there is a purple oval stamp enclosing the words "Garrison MSS."
