Letter from Mary Anne Estlin, Longwood, [Pennsylvania], to James Miller, [18]68 June 7
Description:
Mary A. Estlin writes to James Miller M'Kim about his leaving Longwood. She describes his departure as "a great blow ... meetings seemed rather dreary in consequence of your absence & Mr. May's departure." Estlin thanks M'Kim for his "help in my prospective visits to Washington & all other kindness" and details her upcoming travel plans. She hopes to meet M'Kim in New York if he is there, where she "can make the acquaintance of Mrs. McKim & Mrs. W.P. Garrison, but I gathered from you that you wished my first introduction to them to come from you?" She shares news of the meeting and tells him that "Mr. Garrison goes today to Wilmington & Mr. Webb & I follow tomorrow morning."
