Letter from William Marshall Fitts Round, Still Rain, Worcester Co., Mass[achusetts], to William Lloyd Garrison, 1878 Feb[ruary] 15th
Description:
In this letter to William Lloyd Garrison, William M.F. Round discusses his preparations for "a magazine article on the life and work of the late Hon. Chas. Miner - who was as you'll undoubtedly remember, one of the earliest of the Anti-Slavery champions in Congress." Round asks Garrison if he knew of Miner and his work and says that in Miner's "journals and letters your name is often mentioned - and in some instances in such a way as to lead me to believe you may have known him personally." He asks Garrison if he has any correspondence from Miner and apologizes for asking but insists that he wishes "to leave no possible way of information untouched".
