Description:
Richard Davis Webb writes to Robert Folger Wallcutt asking about a number of English friends of his who have stopped receiving the Liberator and how much they all owe. He advises Wallcutt to "to write to me before stopping any of your English subscribers." Webb also writes that many readers "require a strong stomach to take the Liberator." In the postscript, he assures Wallcutt that there are "No people whom I so much respect as the American abolitionists."

Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) manuscript composed in black ink on white paper. Above the salutation, the number "104" is written in pencil. Along the spine edge of the adjacent page, "Richard D. Webb Dublin Ireland 20 Sept. 1862" is written in a different handwriting and different shade of black ink, vertically, facing the fore edge of the page.
