Description:
Mary Ide Torrey writes to Amos A. Phelps in regards to the whereabouts of her husband because she has received a word from him in three months. She writes about her confusion concerning Mr. Child's movements relating to Mr. Torrey and requests assistance from Phelps in obtaining money to release her husband from the state of Maryland and Virginia. She thanks him for his assistance already and admits that she has many "distracting cares" but will try to write articles for the "Literary Emporium."
