Frederick Charles Banks, Secretary of the National Association for the Repeal of the Contagious Diseases Acts, writes this letter to invite supporters to attend a "Private Conference of friends of the movement" to be held in London on June 29th. Banks states that members of Parliament are expected to attend and so will William Lloyd Garrison, "who is now in England ... [and] his presence amongst those who are earnestly seeking to overthrow a horrible system of 'White Slavery in Europe' will be warmly appreciated".

Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) facsimilie of a letter produced on the back of a printed circular for "The National Association for the Repeal of the Contagious Diseases Acts." The circular consists of three pages of the names of the organization's Vice-Presidents and other officers as well as the members of the General and Executive Committee. Under the salutation, the number "98" is written in pencil.
