Description:
E.F. Strickland writes to William Lloyd Garrison inviting him "to occupy the platform of our society" and offering to pay his expenses from Boston and back along with a $100 fee. He asks that if Garrison must decline the invitation, he could send back a letter to Strickland "to address the society".

Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) manuscript composed in black ink on typset stationery with the letterhead reading, "Office of Denman & Co., Importers and Jobbers European and American Fancy Goods. Cor. East Water and Wisconsin Streets, Milwaukee,". Under the letterhead, along the spine edge of the page, the number "22" is written in pencil. Under the signature, there is a purple stamp containing the words, "Sunday Lecture Society, Milwaukee, Wis."
