Letter from Mary Grew, New Russia, [New York], to Helen Eliza Garrison, [18]64 July 24th
Description:
Mary Grew writes to Helen Eliza Garrison explaining that she would have written her sooner but was "more than half sick" and is only now recuperating due to the air in the mountains. She then describes her surroundings and the party with her, before asking about Garrison's health and her children. Grew then comments that she was "spared much uneasiness respecting the rebel invasion by not hearing of it until it was nearly over", before discussing on the upcoming presidential election.
