Austin Willey writes to Amos A. Phelps regarding an invitation to assist at a meeting to be held July 1st at Winthrop. He writes, "Can you not come and help us? Our circumstances are such that we greatly need your assistance at that convention...we fear the cause will eventually suffer. Our prospects for a full meeting are good. We wish to respond to the national nomination-nominate State offices-and make arrangements for other minor editors."
