Description:
A.F.Williams writes to Amos A. Phelps about his preference in residences. He writes, "it seems that you now ful [sic] it to be necessary to make some change in your residence I am balancing between this place & Washington City & you seem to ful [sic] that your health was very precarious." He writes that he would prefer Farmington over Washington City. He further adds that Phelps' "location at W. would not only excuse you to great excitement but to personal abuse & perhaps a violent seizure by the minions of Slavery."
