Description:
Elizur Wright Jr. writes to Amos A. Phelps regarding the desire for more agents "and the best possible agents." He also writes that the mission to England has been given up until next year." He discusses the happenings of other agents, including, Thompson, [Theodore Dwight] Weld, "Stowe & Webb," and [James Gillespie] Birney. Attached to the letter is a circular titled, "To the friends of humanity throughout the United States, who are opposed to the continuance of Slavery in the District of Columbia."

Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) manuscript contains a circular dated April 1, 1835. Written at the bottom of the first page of the circular, Wright has written, "unit please to order Milliones to Bro place. Ever yours, E. Wright Jr."
