Description:
Richard Davis Webb writes to William Lloyd Garrison asking him to send the Liberator to their friends in Ireland. He asks Garrison about "the collection of the sum due to our dear friend [Nathaniel Peabody] Rogers by the N[ew] H[ampshire] A[nti] S[lavery] Society" and discusses his correspondence with Elizabeth Pease [Nichol], including a document "by [John A.] Collins & reviewed by Harriet Martineau" explaining the "present position of the Anti Slavery Cause in America & of the differences which exist between the friends of the slave." He also discusses the World Anti-Slavery Convention, held in London the previous year, and the antislavery movement in Ireland.
