Letter from Richard Webb, Dublin, [Ireland], to William Lloyd Garrison, 1859 Nov[ember] 11
Description:
Richard Webb, son of Richard Davis Webb, writes to William Lloyd Garrison to tell him of his "safe arrival" back in Ireland. Webb describes his passage from New York "exactly six weeks after my arrival from California", as "stormy but otherwise favorable". He tells of his disappointment that a portrait Garrison spoke of including of his daughter, Fanny, was not in the "haul of pamphlets" he had carried from Boston. Webb says the memory of his visit "is one of almost unalloyed pleasure."
