Letter from Eliza Wingham and Jane Wingham, Glasgow, [Scotland], to William Lloyd Garrison, [18]77 [August] 21
Description:
Eliza Wigham and her stepmother, Jane Wigham, write to William Lloyd Garrison expressing their regret that although they cannot be "present at the gathering of friends tomorrow in Liverpool" they wish to thank Garrison for his work. The Wighams write that all "those who have determinedly struggled ... in any righteous cause have not worked for that alone, but for all kindred causes throughout all generations." In the postscript, they send their "love & best wishes to thy dear son Frank also."
