Letter from Eliza Wingham, Gray Street, Edin[burgh, Scotland], to William Lloyd Garrison, [18]48 [November] 13th
Description:
Eliza Wigham writes to William Lloyd Garrison sending him a box for the anti-slavery bazaar and sharing her "affectionate remembrance and continued interest in this they cause & thy labours in its behalf." Wigham says she wishes she could have contributed more to the bazaar and then reminisces about "the last evening we spent together & our moonlight parting at the coach." She also expresses her sympathy in his "trial of parting with your precious child", after the death of Garrison's infant daughter, Elizabeth Pease Garrison.
