Letter from Charles King Whipple, Boston, [Massachusetts], to William Lloyd Garrison, 1866 Jan[uary] 2d
Description:
Charles K. Whipple writes to William Lloyd Garrison acknowledging Garrison's last letter and reflecting on his own work with the Liberator as "truly a labor of love". He credits Garrison and "the influence of your character as displayed there and in our personal intimacy" with providing him with "such education in morals and religion as I have attained to." Whipple calls his work with Garrison and his "band of earnest reformers ... one of the greatest blessings of my life."
