Letter from Eliza Wigham, Gray Street, Edinburgh, [Scotland], to William Lloyd Garrison, 1866 [January] 12
Description:
Eliza Wigham writes to William Lloyd Garrison thanking him for his "very beautiful present" and assuring him that she "needed not such a handsome token". Wigham rejoices in the success of the abolitonist movement and agrees with Garrison's note in the last Liberator, celebrating that it was his "own hand to set those wondrous types to tell that wondrous news." She then offers her "most affectionate congratulations on the present success of thy life's work" and her hope to see Garrison in Scotland this year.
