George Thompson writes to Helen Eliza Garrison in regards to her husband's seasickness preventing him from writing a letter to her. He hopes once they reach past Newfoundland they'll have a smooth voyage. Thanks Ellie for her present. Mrs. Brigham has promised that she will present to George a copy of Black's fine picture of Thompson. In a second letter, he writes of Garrison's improvement as he is laying beside Thompson. Thompson writes of his dear friendship with Garrison and his plan to take care of him while he is ill at sea.
