Letter from Calvin Ellis Stowe, Andover, [Massachusetts], to Moses Dresser Phillips, 1857 Mar[ch] 20
Description:
Calvin Ellis Stowe writes to Mr. Phillips in regards to his wife being in Paris and should start next day for Rome. Arrangements were made for publishing "Dred" in French early in September. It has been reviewed in French magazines so it must have been translated. He has not heard a word from Mrs. Stowe since January 28 and neither has Perkins heard from Mrs. Hale.
