Theodore Parker writes to Matilda Goddard in regards to his activities in Rome. He writes that Edward E. Hale has come a few days ago. He plans to go back to London in a week. He writes that "you may judge of the weather by the orange trees are full of half ripe fruit." His wife is worried about his health. He is sorry to hear about so many ill people back home.
