Hannah S.P. Cotton writes to Maria Weston Chapman in regards to the articles in a band-box are for the October fair from the Ladies anti-slavery society of Boylston. She writes, "we have not set a price upon the quilts, because none but an abolitionist would buy either of them & we would not set bounds to his generosity." However, they would like to know if they are valuable and what they receive for them. She lists the articles.
