Letter from George William Benson, Northampton, [Massachusetts], to Samuel May, 1844 Jan[uar]y 20
Description:
George William Benson writes to Samuel May "respecting Mr. Olcott & Abby." Benson says that "if they determine to come here" he thinks that their "application would be favourably [sic] considered" by the association (probably the Northampton Association of Education and Industry). He adds that he does "not think they could be accommodated till some time in the spring," but they are "making arrangements to extend our business and commence building the coming season." On verso, after his autograph, Benson continues and shares his "wish our sis Abba could come up here for a few days and see things as they are and promise to be &c &c ..."
