Letter from Rachel Hunt, Southboro, [Massachusetts], to Maria Weston Chapman, 1840 March 09
Description:
Rachel Hunt writes to Maria Weston Chapman in regards to asking her advice on the way in which a small Southboro female anti-slavery society, formed last September, can cooperate with the Boston female anti-slavery society, The Southboro society voted to become auxiliary to the Boston society, but fearing there might be a split ad not wishing to be connected with the new organization, they would like to know "what course those ladies are going to take who wish to remain on the Old Anti-Slavery platform."
