Letter from J.S. Stafford, Cummington, [Massachusetts], to Samuel May, 1850 June 18
Description:
J.S. Stafford writes to Samuel May after reading in the last issue of the Liberator a call "to all persons who rejoice to see in its columns from week to week a full report of what was said & done at the N[ew] E[ngland] Convention to bear a share of the expenses now due." He then tells May that he is sending him three dollars, from himself and two friends, to pay for the convention and other expenses, such as those "of Mr. [Parker] Pillsbury and Miss [Lucy] Stone last April when here" and "to Benj[amin] F. Roberts in support as he says of equal school rights."
