Letter from William Bassett, Lynn, [Massachusetts], to Maria Weston Chapman, 1839 July 22
Description:
William Bassett writes to Maria Weston Chapman in regards to introducing H[alvor?]. Halvorson as the owner of the die of the kneeling slave, which he borrowed for her. Halvorson would prefer using it himself rather than any other person should use it, "& he would probably do the work better than any other one could."
